Barcelona vs. Celtic Match Recap
Barcelona defeated Celtic 3-1 in front of a packed house in Dublin, Ireland. All four goals came in a crazy first half that featured numerous defensive mistakes.
Arda Turan opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a nice strike from just outside the box. The Turkish midfielder curled the ball perfectly into the back of the net.
Celtic would grab an equalizer in the 29th minute when Leigh Griffiths was gifted a goal. Jose Martinez mishandled a pass from Jordi Masip that fell right to the Scottish Forward.
The Scottish champions would gift Barcelona a goal just a few minutes later. Ese Ambrose deflected a Juan Camara cross into his own net, as the defender turned in the howler of the match.
Munir El Haddadi put his side up 3-1 before the break with a tap in goal. Luis Suarez received a nice through ball before cutting it back for El Haddadi who finished off the nice run of play.
Barcelona still have two matches remaining in the International Champions Cup, as they face Leicester City and Liverpool. Celtic’s next match will be against Inter Milan on August 13th.
