According to reports, Arsenal are among a host of top clubs keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen youngster Julian Brandt.
Brandt is regarded as one of Germany’s most promising youngsters and he has been impressive for his team this season.
The youngster who has scored two goals and six assists in 12 games this term has caught Arsene Wenger attention with his fine form.
The Daily Mail via The Sun, claims Arsenal scouts were present at Leverkusen’s game against Cologne last weekend to watch Brandt.
Apparently, we weren’t the only Premier League club who had representatives present at the game as Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, Tottenham and Everton also had scouts on ground to watch the young man.
Brandt is highly rated in Germany and could cost interested clubs a fortune.
The youngster plays as a winger but has also been central attacking midfielder for his club.
Arsene Wenger currently have enough options in Brandt position but a move for the youngster could appeal to him because of the player’s huge potential. With doubts surrounding the future of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Brandt could just be an ideal replacement for the English man with both the present and the future in mind.
Wenger has shown he has an eye for spotting talented players, helping them develop into top players at the Emirates and Brandt could well be the latest player to follow that path.
