Bolt, De Grasse headline 200m final qualifiers

The field is set for the second marquee sprinting event of Rio 2016 as the men’s 200m final will feature several familiar faces with one major exception.

Usain Bolt and Andre De Grasse dominated their semifinal, much like 100m qualifying, with both finishing under the 20-second mark and enjoying a laugh at the same time.

Justin Gatlin missed the final by three hundredths of a second, finishing third in his semifinal and ending his individual events at Rio.

Here’s a look at the eight-man field that will compete for the 200m gold on Thursday:

POSITION ATHLETE TIME (S)
