Former Redskin, Hall of Famer Green rips Robert Griffin III‎’s life choices‎

Robert Griffin III‎
There have been some very mixed opinions about Robert Griffin III and his attempt to revive his career with the Cleveland Browns this season, but there’s one member of his former organization that is quite clear on his stance.

Former Washington Redskins cornerback and Pro Football Hall of Famer Darrell Green is not a fan of Griffin and his recent life choices.

“I don’t appreciate his moral stance, what he’s doing with his wife, his kids,” Green told the Sports Junkies on 106.7 The Fan, according to the Washington Post.

Griffin filed for divorced from his wife of three years this summer and reportedly had the name of his new girlfriend tattooed on him soon after.

“I mean, he’s jacked up, and that’s not good. I don’t appreciate that,” Green, a devout Christian, said. “When you have responsibilities – young people looking at you, (he) had this whole city in his hands – and when you do that, you’re responsible for more than yourself, and that’s selfish and that’s childish, the way he’s operating.”

Like others, Green wasn’t a fan of how Griffin handled his fame in Washington after being dubbed the savior before even stepping on the field.

“It’s all on him, but I’ve said this before, this whole idea of fame – rich and famous – these players … forget rich,” Green said. “He’s so famous and he never took one snap, he was famous, and that’s hard to deal with I guess. That’s just hard to manage, but he didn’t manage it well at all.”
