Injured Lowes to miss Aragón Grand Prix

Tech 3 rider Alex Lowes will not participate in the Aragón Grand Prix after being deemed unfit by medical staff on Sunday morning.

Lowes crashed at high speed during third practice on Saturday and limped away from the scene with the aid of marshals, electing to sit out qualifying.

MotoGP officials confirmed that Lowes suffered swelling and contusion to his left foot and has not been declared fit for competition.

Lowes made his MotoGP debut at Silverstone in place of the injured Bradley Smith and finished 13th, before crashing out at Misano.
