Jurgen Klopp has ruled out the possibility of Liverpool signing Joe Hart from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
The England international was sent out on a season-long loan to Serie A side Torino at the start of the season following the appointment of Pep Guardiola.
Indeed, Manuel Pellegrini’s replacement informed the England number one that he wasn’t part of his plans which prompted his surprise switch to Torino.
Liverpool have alternated between summer signing Loris Karius and long-term first-choice goalkeeper Simon Mignolet throughout the 2016-17 season.
Mignolet has been in impressive form in recent weeks to help Liverpool keep their top-four bid on track with six games to go.
The Sun reported that Liverpool were interested in Manchester City goalkeeper Hart ahead of the summer transfer window.
Speaking at his pre-match media conference about Hart and the possibility of the Manchester City man moving to Liverpool, Klopp said:
“Not at the moment and not in the future. He’s fantastic but we have keepers of highest quality.”
