Manchester City Wins Manchester Derby

The Manchester Derby did not disappoint as both Manchester City and Manchester United produced a thrilling encounter.

Kevin De Bruyne was the first to score as he gave the visiting side a 1-0 advantage in the 15th minute. The Belgian would be involved in Manchester City’s second goal as well. His shot in the 36th minute hit the post and was finished off by Kelechi Iheanacho.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic came up with a big goal before halftime to cut the lead in half. A Wayne Rooney free kick was mishandled by Claudio Bravo and fell kindly for the Swedish striker. He now has four goals in four matches played.

Manchester City had the better chances in the second half as De Bruyne came close to putting the match away in the 75th minute. His shot hit the post and flashed across the goal mouth before going out of play.

In the end it finished 2-1, with Manchester City moving to the top of the table as a result. Manchester United suffer their first defeat in the Premier League this season.
