Manchester United Wins FA Community Shield
Manchester United claimed the 2016 FA Community Shield with a 2-1 win over Leicester City on Sunday afternoon. The Red Devils scored the opening goal of the match in the 32nd minute with a brilliant goal from Jesse Lingard.
Leicester City would equalize in the 52nd minute when Jamie Vardy rounded the keeper and slotted it home. A horrendous back pass from Marouane Fellaini led to the goal.
The match winner would come in the 83rd minute. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the goal scorer as his header glanced off the post and in.
It was a great start for Jose Mourinho who earned his first trophy of any kind at Manchester United. They open up their Premier League campaign next Sunday against Bournemouth. Leicester City will start their title defense against Hull City on Saturday in the first match of the season.
