If there is anything Arsene Wenger must do for Arsenal to remain competitive, is to get Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to sign contract extensions.
According to reports, Alexis Sanchez has revealed that he is happy at Arsenal despite the speculation surrounding his future.
The 27-year-old is locked in a contract dispute with the north London club as he continues to seek a significant pay rise on his current deal which is due to expire in the summer of 2018.
Sanchez has been subject of a wage offer of £400,000-a-week offer from the Chinese Super League, then the rivals of Arsenal Chelsea and Manchester City are reportedly monitoring his situation.
The Chile international, who is enjoying a prolific season in a new central position, is adamant he is settled at Arsenal and the fact he is valued by his colleagues represents a major factor behind his contentment.
‘I definitely feel like an important player and my teammates let me know every day,’ he told Arsenal Player. ‘I try to prove that I am an important player every day and game after game. I believe we have the players and the quality to win many things.
‘I feel really happy and comfortable at the club. I want to give the fans a new title. We always get our fans’ support in the thin and the thick, which is great. We must win the Premier League or the Champions League for them.’
