The Los Angeles Rams reportedly have Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll on their coaching wish list, but Carroll says there’s no chance it will happen.
Asked during a conference call ahead of Thursday’s game between the Rams and his Seahawks if he would rule out making the jump, Carroll had a simple response: “Yes.”
“I have no comment about that,” was all Carroll would say about the report, according to Joe Curley of the Ventura County Star.
So there you go. It was never a realistic proposition anyhow, with Carroll under contract in Seattle through 2019 and the Seahawks having no reason to let him depart for a divisional rival, but it was a juicy rumor.
It was while it lasted, at least.
