According to reports, Arsenal could miss out on Atlanta midfielder Franck Kessie as Tottenham Hotspur ramp up interest in the midfielder.
Kessie has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates in the last one year and it was thought that we’d make a move for his services when the winter transfer window kpens.
But recent reports claim we could lose out in the race to sign the midfielder.
According to TMW, London rivals Tottenham have surged ahead in the race to sign the Cote d’ivoire international.
The report claims Tottenham have made the first move to sign the player by tabling a €23m bid.
The bid is expected to force other clubs into action as Manchester United and Manchester City weigh up bids for the midfielder.
It is unknown whether this latest development will now force Wenger to act, having identified the midfielder as a key target. The French tactician sees Kessie as a long-term successor to Cazorla and could miss out on the player if we don’t act now.
The Atlanta midfielder’s powerful and energetic style of play has seen him draw comparisons to Manchester City’s Yaya Toure who is regarded as one of the best box to box midfielders in the Premier League.
Kessie’s physicality, technicality and goal scoring ability has distinguished him from other talented young midfielders like him and i would love us to sign him.
