Stan Van Gundy claims nobody in the NBA is truly untouchable in response to a report that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had joined Andre Drummond in the Detroit Pistons’ “short list of untouchables.”
“Look, these discussions happen all the time, and this idea when teams say somebody’s off limits … see, I won’t lie to my guys,” Van Gundy said Saturday. “There’s no one in this league that’s off limits.
“LeBron? What if the Warriors offered Kevin Durant and Steph Curry? They wouldn’t consider that, the Cavaliers? They wouldn’t consider that? There’s no deal? Come on, man. Everybody is available.”
Van Gundy’s remarks came after a report indicated the Pistons were discussing a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves for Ricky Rubio.
