Tottenham Hotspur are confident of beating Arsenal to the signature of Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon, according to reports.
Sessegnon primarily plays as a left back but is known for his attacking prowess which has seen him being dubbed the next Gareth Bale by fans. Arsenal have been monitoring the 16-year-old for sometimes but reports suggest we have fallen behind Spurs in the race to sign the youngster.
The fullback featured in the Gunners rumour mill in the last two transfer windows but a move didn’t materialize as Fulham were not willing to sell.
According to the Daily Mirror via the Express, Tottenham are now leading the race to sign the 16-year-old in the winter transfer window.
The defender is regarded as one of the brightest talents in the Championship and his performances for Fulham has attracted the Premier League’s big boys.
