With Mesut Ozil’s contract extension still in the dark, Arsenal have been linked with a move for a player adjudged to be the German’s replacement.
As per reports fromSport, with Metro, it is in the claim that Real Madrid are hoping to offload attacking midfielder, Isco, who is now considered a surplus to requirement at the Spanish club.
That has seen a number of clubs reportedly circle for the attacker, of which Arsenal are mentioned as one of the potential suitor.
It is a tad early to draw inference from such cases, but Ozil’s contract imbroglio could yet see us make a move for the out-of-favour star.
The former Malaga attacking midfielder has sublime skills and a remarkable range of passing, but the presence of other top-class players at the Santiago Bernabeu has restricted his time on the pitch.
Zinedine Zidane has preferred to play the likes of Casemiro, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos this season in his starting XI, with Isco forced to watch on from the sidelines.
