The big news from the Manchester United camp yesterday was the return of Bastian Schweinsteiger after it looked like Jose Mourinho would not have anything to do with the World Cup winner. The German was having to train alone and was left out of the squad for the Europa League games, but the manager has brought him back in.
However, many people do not think he will get much game time for United and that he is still likely to leave the club in the January transfer window. So if this is true, why has Mourinho got him training with the rest of the United players again?
One theory reported by the Daily Mail is that the boss is hoping for the experience of one of the most successful central midfielders in recent years will rub off on the summer signing Paul Pogba. The talented Frenchman has struggled in United colours since his world record transfer and maybe that price tag and the pressure of expectation it brings is weighing heavily on him and affecting his play.
Is Bastian really the answer to this problem? He may well help Pogba but will he need to actually play rather than just train with him to do so?
