Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is wanted by as many as four Premier League clubs, according to reports.
The Croatia was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea in the summer transfer window but opted to stay with Inter Milan. However, his situation at the San Siro is not what he hoped for, he has not be given enough game time by Inter Milan boss Frank De Boer and that has got as many as four Premier League clubs interested in signing him in the winter transfer window.
According to Transfer Market Web via the Daily Star, Arsenal are still interested in the midfielder.
The report claims AC Milan are the ones holding a concrete interest in the Croatia international but Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham as well as ourselves are also monitoring his situation.
It is a bit surprising that we are still being linked with central midfielders. This is not the first time this season, with other reports claiming we are interested in signing Nice’s Vincent Koziello.
Wenger has more than enough options available to him in midfield and signing a midfielder when there are other positions to strengthen might not be the best idea.
Brozovic is a decent player but he is unlikely to get into the first team if he moves to the Emirates, hence will not strengthen our squad considerably. He is also expected to cost at least €30m and it is unlikely Wenger will spend such huge sum on a player who will be nothing more than a squad player.
